[9-HI™ Quick Start] First, Build Your User Profile
First, build your Profile to participate in a Project or to respond to a Solicitation.
Start building your Profile to raise your status in 9-HI™. It’s a lot faster than any other Profile you’ve ever made: just select Keywords that represent your knowledge and interests related to Product Technologies, Team & Stakeholder Roles & Skills, and Market Applications & Uses. Please ensure that you complete the first 4 sections of your Profile, up to and including these Keywords or you will be missing out on any opportunity to interact with the 9-HI™ Platform. Sure, there's plenty of other info you can upload and Orion (one of our AI Agents) will search through your resume or CV to look for alignment to opportunities, but the Keywords by Tier 1 Lane are all you need to start.
Also, there are 4 Profile Scores in your Profile that reflect your Platform experience and your overall Profile Rating. As people and Orion search for subject matter knowledge and capabilities they will also consider your scores. By increasing all of your Scores, you increase your likelihood of being found in searches and being selected for Projects. Not interested in being found? No problem, we provide a variety of privacy settings for personal Profiles, Groups, Projects, and Topics.
Here's a quick summary of how it all works in 9-HI™ after you set up your Profile.
Well, after you set up your minimum Profile, you'll need a Group to set up a Project or to respond to a solicitation. Groups are assembled to represent a company, university, or government organization. After you set up your Profile, you might be ready to join an existing Group for your employer. But you can also join or even set up a new Innovation Exploration Group with your own Subject Matter Experts (SME) team (remember everyone who joins 9-HI™ is a SME, its just that different people have different levels of expertise in different things). An Innovation Exploration Group is a group of people with common interests that want to conduct Case Studies to research and publish public information to the 9-HI™ Platform. What are you passionate about? Do you want to work on a side hustle? These are important parts of your Profile. You can start or ask to join a Innovation Exploration Group so long as it doesn't interfere with your day job if you still have one of those. Refer to our article "[The 9-HI™ Basics] How do we organize everything in 9-HI™?" for more information about Groups.
The most obvious way to belong to a Group is to be an employee of the organization that it represents. Then just ask your supervisor or the Group's Program Manager to include you. If there is no Group for your organization, then you can lobby your management to create one so your company can also leverage 9-HI™.
You can also create a Innovation Exploration Group yourself. You can do this within or outside of an existing government, industry, or academic organization. It can include users from all three of these categories based on your own choosing. Use a Innovation Exploration Group to invite users to drive advancement of a Product Technology, a Team & Stakeholder process, or priority, or a Market Application that the Group together has a passion for improving. These Innovation Explorations Projects are great for building your reputation as a SME, publishing papers or tech articles, spreading application knowledge, etc.
